2024 Easter Tournament in Sydney

Discover the details of the highly anticipated 2024 Easter Classic tournament:

Scheduled to unfold over four days, from March 29th to April 1st, the event promises a thrilling lineup of games. Easter Friday’s matches for Sydney Teams will take place at PCYC, while the action continues on Saturday, Sunday, and
Monday at Concord Leisure Centre in Sydney, Australia.

Since its inception in 1997, the Easter Competition has become an annual showcase of talent from across Australia. This year, the tournament welcomes teams from international and interstate locations, including Malaysia, Taiwan,
Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth, all converging on Sydney for the competition.

The tournament will feature Men’s Premier, Men’s Division 2 ,Women’s Open, and a newly added Social Division. 

All Divisions are guaranteed four games before progressing to the semi finals and finals.

Team Registration Deadline: March 5th, 2024

Event Dates: March 29th to April 1st, 2024

Venue:

  • Friday games at Auburn PCYC (Exclusive to
    Sydney Teams only)
  • Sat/Sun/Mon at Concord Leisure Centre,
    Sydney, Australia (8 Gipps Street Concord NSW 2137)

The tournament will unfold over 3-4 days with games played simultaneously on 4 courts. Each participating team is set to compete twice daily, officiated by qualified referees adhering to FIBA rules, with minor variations.

Entry Fees:

  • $600 per team (Mens Premier)
  • $500 per team (All other divisions)

Game Schedule:

  • Premier Mens: 4 X 10 min Quarters ( last min of each quarter is fully timed)
  • Division 2 – Social : updated to 4 X 10 min quarters (Last 3 min is fully times if within 10 points)

Game Times:

  • First game commences at 8:30 am each day, last game TBA

Category Structure and Prizes:

  1. Men Premier Division:
    • Maximum of 8 Teams
    • Champion Prize: AU$ 1,100
  2. Men Open Division 2:
    • Teams: 8-14
    • Champion Prize: AU$ 500
  3. Womens Open:
    • 8 Teams
    • Champion Prize: AU$ 500
  4. Social Division:
    • 8 Teams
    • Champion: Trophies awarded
