Coach Riemer - Thank you
The Australian Chinese Basketball Association announces that Dave Riemer has concluded his position as Head Coach of the Representative programme. Coach Riemer has been the Head Coach for the past three years and has coached the Dragons, Tigers and Queen Beez teams on tours to China, Malaysia, Cambodia, Philippines and USA.
Coach Riemer, hailing from the USA, was the first coach appointed by ACBA who had a background as a full time coach. He was instrumental with laying the foundations of the ACBA Representative programme that exists today, bringing a new level of commitment and professionalism. Prior to joining ACBA, Coach Riemer was the coach of the Parramatta Wildcats Men's ABA team which won the Waratah League in 2009.
In making the announcement, Boon Tan, Chief Executive Officer, praised Coach Riemer for his contribution to ACBA over the past three years.
"Coach Riemer's combination of passion for the sport of basketball and commitment to ACBA was second to none. We will always be grateful for the professionalism that Coach Riemer brought to our Representative programme and for the work he did to raise the standard of the programme and ACBA as a whole.
Coach Riemer will always be a member of the ACBA Family and I look forward to sharing happy memories with him in the future."
